ECONOMICS AND FINANCE IN INDONESIA (EFI)

Guidelines for Contributors

 

 

- Submission-

Please submit an electronic version (MS Word) to the following email addresses: revindo@lpem-feui.org and surjadi@lpem-feui.org.

- Manuscript-

Manuscript should be submitted in English (American spelling), should not exceed 12,000 words, and with a maximum number of 12 tables and figures which are convertible to MS Word.

- Abstract, Classification, and Keywords-

The manuscript should include an abstract (not more than 200 words) and keywords. Classification of submitted manuscripts is based on the JEL (Journal of Economic Literature) classification. Please see www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.html as reference.

- Layout of Text and Footnotes-

The text should be typed double-spaced with headings and subheading. All endnotes should be converted to footnotes, typed in a smaller text than the body text, and numbered consecutively.

- Referencing System

Citing references and compiling the reference list are based on the Harvard System. Please see http://libweb.anglia.ac.uk/referencing/harvard as reference.

Citing references in the body of written text

e.g.        …..(Smith 1948); …. (Smith 1948, p.12); or …..(Jones 1946; Smith 1948)

References to books

e.g.        Kirk, J. and Munday, R.J., 1988. Narrative Analysis. 3rd ed. Bloomington: Indiana University Press.

References to chapter in books

e.g.        Smith, J., 1975. A source of information. In W. Jones, ed. One hundred and one ways to find information about health. Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1998.

References to journal articles

e.g.        Oguchi, N. et al., 2002. Productivity of Foreign and Domestic Firms in Malaysian Manufacturing Industry. Asian Economic Journal, 16(3), pp.215-228.

- Mathematics-

Mathematical equations should be typed in italics for scalar variables and numbered consecutively; vector or matrices should be typed in bold text. Other text symbols should be typed in italics, but not log, cov, max, min, lim, ln, or var.

- Tables, Figures, and Appendices-

Tables, figures, and appendices should be clearly headed, numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals, and fit with the dimension of an EFI page (width: 12.0 cm). Proper acknowledgement of the source of data availability should be provided. Appendices should be separated from the main text.

- Indonesian Terms/Abbreviations-

Indonesian terms and abbreviations should be typed in italics and should be accompanied by a proper translation in English.

- Copyright-

Copyright of published articles and the relevant abstracts is held by EFI to ensure full copyright protection. Authors can use their articles after publication in EFI, provided prior permission is obtained from EFI.
