Alvin obtained his bachelor degree in economics (majoring monetary and international economics) from Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia in 2015. Alvin joined LPEM in 2015 as a research assistant. His research interests are international economics, environmental economics and monetary economics.
In 2016, Alvin has external consulting experience aiding Bappenas (ministry-level agency in charge of national development plan) in preparing Creative and Digital Economy Policy Roadmap for 2045 (Indonesia) Economic Roadmap. Several research projects that he has undertaken include study on discount factor and project evaluation in Indonesia for PT. Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero), study on market mapping of health equipment in Indonesia for Ministry of Health, study on Green Budgeting for Municipal Governments for MCA Indonesia (Millenium Challenge Corporation—United States of America) since 2016, and study on Unemployment Insurance in Indonesia: Challenges and Opportunities for Asian Development Bank.
