LABOR MARKET BRIEF: Volume 3, Number 12, December 2022

In several social and economic aspects, the measurement of gender inequality might be one indicator to track on country’s development. Indonesia has shown good progress over time in the Gender Inequality Index. Even so, in several other indicators, some improvements can still be made. Participation in national health insurance is a program with a small gap between females and males. Other parameters, such as the internet and financial literacy, note a big gap. In addition, victims of sexual violence, which is dominated by females, in various regions in Indonesia deserve serious attention.
