Mohammad Dian Revindo, Ph.D

Mohamad Dian Revindo completed his bachelor’s degree majoring in Economics and Development from Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (FEBUI), obtained his Master degree in Economics and another degree in European Studies from The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, he gained his doctoral degree in Economics from Lincoln University in New Zealand with a thesis titled “Internationalization of Indonesian SMEs”, funded by New Zealand-ASEAN Scholar Awards (2013-2017). Revindo started to work in LPEM-FEBUI in 2009 and is currently holding a position of Research Associate. His interests and specialized research fields include small-medium enterprises (SMEs), local economy development, microfinance, industrial organization, international trade and business. In his projects, Revindo has worked with several national and international clients, including Ministry of Industry, Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS), Ministry of Villages, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Finance, National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM), Indonesia Consumer Foundation, PT ASDP, PT Sucofindo and PT Krakatau Steel as well as APEC Secretariat, JICA, British Prosperity Funds and European Development Fund.

 

Before joining LPEM-FEBUI, Revindo worked as a survey coordinator and quality auditor in PT. Surveyor Indonesia, a State-Owned Enterprise that specialized on survey, inspection and certification services. Currently, Revindo teaches in several tertiary-education institutions, both undergraduate level and graduate level, including University of Indonesia and Prasetya Mulya Business School. Previously, Revindo also taught in Lincoln University, New Zealand. He teaches a broad range of subjects, covering Introduction to Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Development Economics, International Trade Economics, Europe Economics and Economic Indicators. Besides research and teaching, Revindo has also written for several publications, such as Microfinance in Asia, World Journal of Management, Economics and Finance in Indonesia (EFI), Geoenvironmental Disasters, LPEM Working Paper Series dan A Story about Brothers in Europe.
