Textile, Leather, and Footwear Industries: How It Can Develop ?

Executive Summary

Indonesia’s manufacturing industry has the potential to act as leading sector in strengthening the economy, because it is linked to other sectors and has significant value-added. This study aims to (1) perform historical data analysis; and (2) make projections over the chosen industrial indicators. The object of the study covers the industrial subsectors of textile and textile products (Tekstil dan Produk Tekstil/TPT), footwear, and furniture, in observation period of 1990-2012.
