Memperbaiki Kualitas Program Bantuan Benih Padi Pemerintah Pusat

Penyediaan beras di Indonesia sangat bergantung pada sentra produksi padi di dalam negeri. Rata-rata selama tahun 2019-2021, 98% dari ketersediaan beras berasal dari produksi dalam negeri (BPS, 2022). Kendatipun demikian, produktivitas beras di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan yang relatif rendah selama 20 tahun terakhir dibandingkan negara-negara dengan konsumsi beras per kapita yang mirip. Rata-rata pertumbuhan produksi beras Indonesia pada periode tersebut hanya mencapai 0,3%, lebih rendah dibandingkan negara lainnya, seperti Tiongkok (0,7%), India (2,1%), Filipina (2,3%), Vietnam (1,1%), dan Thailand (1,4%) (FAO, 2022).
