I Kadek Dian Sutrisna Artha M.Sc., Ph.D. (2014-2015)

Kadek is a lecturer at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia and a senior researcher at LPEM FEBUI. He holds Bachelor Degree from Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia in 2001. He was prized as the best graduated student in Faculty of Economics and Business with Cum Laude predicate. He continued taking a master degree in Department of Economics, Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 2006, he obtained a master degree in Economics with Cum Laude predicate. In 2012, he received his PhD in Economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. He wrote a dissertation on “Financial Crises: Impact on Central Bank Independence, Output, and Inflation”. He finds that financial crises increase the probability of a central bank governor replacement across countries. In addition, he also shows that debt crises will have a long run effect on inflation. One of the papers in his dissertation about “Labor Market Flexibility and the Impact of the Financial Crisis” has been published in Kyklos Journal.

After joining back at LPEM-FEBUI, he has involved in research related to macroeconomics, banking, monetary economics, economic development, and international trade. He also teaches courses on Advanced Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics. On March 7, 2014, he was officially appointed as the head of LPEM FEBUI. He also served the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia as a regional economist.
